Colourfix Smooth is part of the premium Colourfix range of papers and pastels by Art Spectrum. Like Colourfix Original papers, it is manufactured by screen printing a Colourfix Primer (in this case Colourfix Smooth) onto a high quality archival 300gsm hot pressed watercolour paper made in Europe.
This produces a 340gsm pastel paper which is slightly less toothy than Colourfix Original, but which nevertheless has enough texture for multiple layers of soft pastel. The paper is sufficiently robust to be used for both dry and wet media including soft pastels, oil colours, acrylics, inks, oil pastels, gouache, watercolours, charcoal, and pencils.
The Colourfix Smooth Rainbow Pack contains 20 sheets measuring 23 x 30cm in the following colours: Australian Grey, Aubergine, Blue Haze, Burgundy, Burnt Umber, Clear, Deep Black, Deep Ultra, Elephant, Fresh Grey, Leaf Green Dark, Olive Green, Raw Sienna, Rich Beige, Rose Grey, Sand, Soft Umber, Storm Blue, Terracotta, and White.
