Awagami papers are made from traditional natural fibres such as Kozo and Gampi as well as Bamboo, Cotton, and Hemp. They are produced at Awagami Factory, a sixth-generation family-run paper mill where traditional methods of making washi sit alongside modern innovations.
Awagami Kizuki 4 Monme is a large format handmade washi. At 24gsm and made with bleached kozo, it is a transluscent white with four deckle edges. It can be used for all printmaking techniques, calligraphy, water-based media, pastel, and in restoration and bookbinding.
