Caran d'Ache Luminance 6910 Colour Pencils are the most lightfast and permanent coloured pencils ever made. With solid leads and a wide range of colours created from highly concentrated pigments, they have been made to the highest professional standards. The velvet finish of these pencils has come from two years of technical research which also developed the richness of the shades and allows for overlaying, mixing, and gradation.
Each pencil consists of a 3.8mm diameter lead with an intense pigment concentration and a creamy texture, stored in an 8-ply round casing bearing the colour number, the colour of the lead and the name of the colour. 80 of the 100 colours in the Luminance range achieved the highest award (LFI) under the ASTM D-6901 standard. Every shade has been formulated using finely ground pigments chosen for their purity, intensity, and resistance to UV light.
