The selection of 12 colours in this assortment is based on the Adolf Hölzel 'Double Primary’ system. The 3 primary colours, each in two shades, offer a wide variety of tints.

Museum Aquarelle colour pencils are developed and produced in Caran D'Ache's Geneva workshop, in close collaboration with master watercolour artists. Their extra-fine quality makes them perfect both for watercolour painting and for artistic drawing. They are 100% water-soluble and have a high pigment density. These extra-fine quality pencils possess an optimal transparency with no veiled effect. Applied either wet or dry, Caran D’Ache pencils have an exceptional colour lightfastness.
