Charbonnel Lamour Black Satin Ground is an opaque liquid etching ground and a great alternative to solid etching ground. It dries hard with a satin finish. Unlike solid ground, this liquid ground is incredibly durable. Once applied, you don’t need to worry about it becoming brittle and chipping off the plate, giving you plenty of working time. Containing petrol essence, it dries quicker than our Ultraflex Varnish. Lamour Black Satin Ground should only be applied to cold plates, after they have been degreased. You can do this with a supple brush or by pouring it directly on to the tilted plate.
