Charbonnel Lamour Black Protecting Varnish is a liquid etching ground designed to protect the back and edges of your plate from the bite of the acid during etching. It dries opaque, glossy and hard. This protecting varnish is extremely resistant to acid and is recommend for aquatint techniques. When applying the protecting varnish, your plate must be completely degreased and cold. It is best applied with a supple brush.
