Cranfield : Caligo : Wiping Compound (tack reducer)

Cranfield Caligo Wiping Compound and Tack Reducer is a multi-purpose modifier for traditional oil-based printing inks, including Caligo Safe Wash Inks. It is designed to reduce tack while maintaining the body of the ink, making it useful for adjusting handling without significantly thinning the consistency.

It can help etching inks wipe more easily and improve ink transfer on smooth, solid areas of colour. Particularly useful for printing onto more textured or dry papers, or for printing by hand, it should be added in small amounts, up to 3% by volume.
