Sugilite Genuine ranges from greyish lavender to pink to deep purple. When used in a wash, the pink rises while the grey settles with a slight graphite-like sheen, creating the perfect paint to illustrate an overcast dawn sky. The pigment is produced from the South African pigment sugilite. This colour makes a great complement to golds, oranges and greens.

PrimaTek Watercolours are made from minerals, often semi precious minerals, that have been ground into pigments, mixed with gum arabic (the binder) and milled into PrimaTek Watercolours. The first was Lapis Lazuli Genuine in 1998, since then, many more have been added such as Amethyst Genuine, Piemontite Genuine and Serpentine Genuine. Most of these colours have wonderful granulating effects that some artists have called 'magical'.
