News update: Fabriano Artistico watercolour paper has had a slight texture change. This will be of interest to artists who choose it for its ultra-smooth surface.
Fabriano Artistico watercolour paper is mould-made from 100% cotton. It is chlorine- and acid-free, supporting long conservation and stability over time. The paper is sized both internally and externally, making it highly absorbent and helping it retain its character even if scratched. It is extra white, without optical brighteners.
Fabriano Artistico watercolour papers have four deckle edges and are watermarked ‘FABRIANO+ARTISTICO’ on the short grain side. The high quality and wide range of this paper meet the needs of professional artists as well as demanding amateurs.
Suitable for watercolour, tempera, gouache, acrylic, ink, charcoal, graphite, and drawing. It is also suitable for printmaking.
We offer a paper cutting service on all our watercolour papers. To have your paper cut to half imperial (22 x 15 in) or quarter imperial (11 x 15 in), please state this in the order comments section during checkout, immediately below the payment details.
Please note, Fabriano Artistico paper has changed permanently because of changes to the machine that makes it. The surface texture is now slightly less smooth. The manufacturer does not consider the change significant and believes the paper is still within its accepted parameters. However, some artists have found the change significant enough to interfere with their work. This is most often the case for artists producing very precise work who need to control fine lines, particularly botanical artists using watercolour or coloured pencil. As customers have been made aware of this change, please note that if you wish to return the paper, you will need to cover the return postage costs.
