Golden Waterborne Acrylic Varnish is a water-based, removable acrylic polymer varnish designed to protect acrylic paintings from dust and ultraviolet (UV) light. It provides a clear, durable, and flexible finish that resists yellowing over time.
Ultraviolet Light Stabilisers (UVLS) help slow colour change and fading caused by UV exposure, preserving the vibrancy of your artwork. The varnish is removable, allowing for future conservation; household-strength ammonia or sodium carbonate can safely remove it with minimal risk to the underlying paint.
Available in gloss, satin, and matt sheens, it can be applied over finished acrylic artwork to protect against dust, dirt, and UV light without altering the colours. Its water-based formula ensures easy application, clean-up, and studio-safe use.
For best results, an isolation coat between the acrylic paint and varnish is recommended to minimise interaction during application or removal. Waterborne Varnish is not suitable for oil paintings or artwork intended for outdoor display.
