Handover 23ct Loose Gold Leaf is an extra-thick 14g leaf for gilding, restoration, and fine art. Each book contains 25 leaves measuring 80mm x 80mm, covering approximately 0.16m² without overlap (waste will vary depending on the surface and the gilder’s technique).

Higher gold content improves resistance to tarnishing, and gold leaf below 22ct should be protected with lacquer. As loose leaf will break down if touched, it is normally lifted and applied using a gilder’s tip.
