This wooden set of 196 Jackson's Soft Pastels provides a broad and fantastic spectrum of our excellent quality pastels and is perfect for any pastel artist. This selection of pastels is carefully housed in our lightweight and sturdy beechwood case. Excellent for a travelling artist, each pastel is protected by foam inserts, which will ensure your pastels remain safe and secure. The box has a simple closure latch and is complete with sturdy faux-leather handles.
Jackson's Handmade Soft Pastel Sets feature high quality, artist-grade pastels in a wide variety of themed and essential selections and the range features 200 colours.
Our Soft Pastels are made carefully by hand, which makes them very soft with a smooth, buttery consistency. They have a low binder to pigment ratio, which makes them rich and luminous, allowing for both subtle and bold mark-making.
Their excellent lightfast qualities mean that pastel paintings created with them will not deteriorate over time. The four fluorescent colours are the only exception; like all fluorescent colours, they are not lightfast.
