Jackson's Pastel Fixative is a clear acrylic resin fixative developed primarily for securing pastels and pastel pencils. It provides good surface protection with minimal colour shift, helping to preserve the appearance of pastel colours without noticeable yellowing.
Once applied, the fixative forms a clear, water and scratch-resistant film and is intended as a final protective layer rather than a reworkable fixative. It is primarily suited to pastel and pastel pencil work, but can also be used with selected dry media. Always test on a separate sample or inconspicuous area before applying a full coat.
