Khadi Mitsumata Nepalese Washi Paper is an artist quality handmade paper crafted from the inner bark, or bast fibre, of mitsumata. Softer and lighter in tone than lokta, mitsumata, known as argeli in Nepal, is a native plant of the Himalayan foothills and a fully sustainable resource. The plants are cut above ground level and can be reharvested every three to four years.
The papers are made using the traditional Japanese nagashizuki dipping and layering method of papermaking. Ideal for drawing in ink, calligraphy, printmaking, and bookbinding.
This is a 56 x 80cm sheets of Khadi Mitsumata Paper in Tea Leaf.
