This Dammar Varnish is made from dammar resin which has been dissolved in double rectified maritime turpentine and carefully filtered. It is a versatile final picture varnish which can be applied to thoroughly dry oil paint. Please note that a 6 month drying for normal oil paintings is a minimum; you should allow up to one year if the oil paint is very thick.
This varnish has a subtle gloss finish and can be used with opaque and semi-opaque colours.
