Description: Brilliant orange-red. New developed organic lightfast pigment. Mixed with phthalogreen soft, neutral grey tones are achieved. The intensive reddish character is ideal for mixtures of very light red tones.

Known formerly as Translucent Orange, this colour is now referred to and known as Transparent Orange.

In order to achieve high standards regarding lightfastness, resolubility and stability, Schmincke Horadam watercolours contains only the finest raw materials.

The paints are bound with Kordofan gum arabic from the southern Sahara. Due to the natural source of the binder, the gum arabic does tend to differ slightly year on year. Schmincke continually test the ingredient and the best of the batch is selected to ensure the highest quality is achieved. This means paint which has dried onto your palette can be easily re-wetted and painted with again. Among the range are 139 colours, with 95 single pigment hues for clean mixing.
