The range features a selection of special edition sets inspired by the original packaging design and colour selections from a 1930s catalogue in the Schmincke archives. This set of three 15ml tubes comes packaged in a beautiful cardboard box using the graphics and typeface from the period. The wrapping on each tube also steps back in time.
In order to achieve the best possible standards of lightfastness, resolubility and stability, Schmincke Horadam Watercolours contain only the finest raw materials. The paints are bound with Kordofan gum arabic from the southern Sahara. Due to the natural source of the binder, the gum arabic does tend to differ slightly year on year. Schmincke continually test the ingredients, and the best of the batch is selected to ensure the highest quality is achieved. This means paint which has dried onto your palette can be easily re-wetted and painted with again. The Horadam range features over 150 colours, with over 90 single-pigment hues for clean mixing.
