Sunome Senaka is a fine Japanese printmaking paper which is used for relief printmaking from engraved woodblocks or sheets of lino. It comes in extremely large sheets measuring 78 x 109cm, with a ribbed ‘laid’ side and a smooth side to take the impression. At 52gsm it is a very light paper, but because it is extremely tough, it will withstand printing with a baren.
