Unison’s Soft Pastel Midnight Set includes 8 rich, deep colours designed to create depth, contrast, and atmospheric night scenes in pastel work. The set features Dark 24, developed in collaboration with British pastel artist Robert Dutton, and Dark 19 and Dark 20, created with Australian artist Chris Blake. It also includes Carbon Black 1 and 2, Unison’s darkest black pastels.
Unison Colour Pastels are made in Northumberland and contain only pure pigments. Unison Colour groups their colours together in sets of related hues, instead of adding white or black pigment to the colours. The result is intense and vibrant shades, not muddied by the blending of colours.
Unison Colour Soft Pastels contain very little binder, making them truly soft and smooth. They are mixed to meticulous recipes and are based on traditional pigments such as cadmiums, cobalts, and natural and synthetic earths.
